Tarja Geis teaches and is an adjunct professor in Graduate Education. Certified in numerous areas, she is also a National Board Certified Teacher. Tarja has worked as a counselor, Title I specialist, founder/administrator of an elementary school, author of the H Book, teacher, evaluator, chairperson, assessor, and curriculum specialist. Having received numerous (local to international) awards, recognitions, grants, and scholarships, Tarja is also an experienced presenter and speaker.
As an avid worldwide traveler, Dr. Geis is continually searching for deeper meaning, enhancement of education, and help and peace for mankind. Born in Finland, English is her third language and perhaps the drive to bring complex subjects like the Holocaust into simple terms and concepts, even a child or a new learner of English can readily comprehend. Although The Holocaust Story was originally written for elementary students, it is a basic book for any age.
