During the Korean War, Harabujy (grandfather in Korean) and Harmuny(grandmother) had to evacuate their home for fear of invading army. They could only take three bundles of things.

Students had to choose what they would want to take (in a paper bag) on an emergency school trip.  They measured the paper bag...heightXwidthXdepth to determine how many cubic inches the bag would contain. They determined what they could fit into the bag, by choosing items and measuring the LXWXD to determine the cubic inches or volume of each item.  Each item 's volume was subtracted from the bag's total available volume.  The purpose was to fit as many needed items into the bag as possible.
