PROJECT A) HOLIDAY, HOPES AND WISHES
Materials needed:
Silver paper
Boxes
Tape
Ribbon
Wreath ( or tree branches, bulletin board, tree, display area etc. )
Pencil

PROJECT B) CARING AND UNDERSTANDING

The students research and study current events and worldwide concerns.
Materials needed:
Paper and Pencil
Wreath ( or tree branches, bulletin board, tree, display area etc. )
Hot glue
Glitter |

Each child writes wishes for their family, friends, society or Mother Earth. (It is amazing, how empathetic and loving the student responses were.) |
|

|
Wishes can include cures for cancer, jobs for all, money for the homeless, ending global warming, parents getting back together, improved family togetherness, health for the sick, etc... |
|
|
|
|
|
Attach wish paper to wreath. |
|
|

PROJECT C) HANDPRINT DOVES
|
|
Trace hand leaving a point on the thumb (the wrist is on the fold and not the cut). |

|
|
|
|
Cut out hand print and fold. |
|
|
|
|
|
Fold the 3 middle fingers to either side of the dove.
|
|
|
|
|
|
Write Christmas or holiday words on each finger of the wing.
Draw eyes on both sides of the head.
Make 2 cuts on the remaining finger and fold back. This will be the tail.
Add a string in the middle of the dove (between the two sides) and staple.
Staple or glue with the string.
Glitter is optional.
This dove is a hanging ornament. |
